Dr. Christopher W. Tremblay, Ed.D.
Dr. Christopher W. Tremblay has held various leadership positions at the
University of Wisconsin-Superior, Western Michigan University, University of
Michigan-Dearborn, and Gannon University throughout his career. Those
universities represent a public liberal arts college, a top 100 national public
research university, a metropolitan commuter university, and a small private
Catholic college.
A first-generation college graduate, he has been involved in college
admissions for 25 years, having served as a Director of Admissions at several
universities. He is active with the American Association of Collegiate
Registrars and Admission Officers (AACRAO), serving on its Research
Advisory Board, Director of the Strategic Enrollment Management
Endorsement (SEM) Program and as a member of the SEM Advisory Group.
Tremblay has authored a chapter in a book published by the National
Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). In the past,
Tremblay has been active with the College Board and has reviewed
applications for the nationally-known QuestBridge Program. He also has
experience with gifted students at Michigan State University’s Gifted and
Talented Education (GATE) Program. He is the creator of the admissions card
game, Getting In.
He earned his doctor of education degree in educational leadership from the
University of Michigan-Dearborn. He has presented at more than 75
association conferences nationally and internationally. Tremblay is also co-
founder and co-editor of the Journal of College Access and serves on the
editorial board for College & University Journal. His career started in college
admissions as an orientation student leader and Gold Guide giving campus
tours at his alma mater, Western Michigan University.
